And now for something completely different…

Posted by Marilyn on October 30, 2006

I don’t normally put ‘non-royal’ items (articles or links) on my blogs because, well, that would stray from the point now wouldn’t it? However, in this case I’m going to make an exception. I belong to a writing board (which if you’re an aspiring writer is a great place to go) and in their blogging section I’ve been participating in a blog comment chain where each member of the group (this time it’s about 10 blogs), posts a comment on each of the blogs within a week.  So I’d like to post the URL’s of the participating blogs in support of this endeavor:

Karen Mary A Writer’s Blog

Hopefully you can join me in commenting on some (or all of these blogs), but even if you can’t, I hope that like me, you’ll discover some wonderful blogs you might not otherwise have visited.

Queen Elizabeth has 10 times the lifespan of workers and lays 2,000 eggs per day

Posted by Marilyn on October 26, 2006

Yes, at the age of 80, the Queen puts other people to shame. But along with her duties, who knew she was so fertile?

Just goes to prove you can’t believe everything you read in the media.

Looking for a new home? Perhaps you’re tired of your present dwellings or need more space. Do you mind a fixer-upper?

If these thoughts apply to you, have you considered buying a castle?

The King of Spain and a drunken bear

Posted by Marilyn on October 20, 2006

It has been reported that Spain’s King shot a bear that was drunk on vodka. What I would like to know is how did the bear get drunk? Bears are large animals so how much vodka would the bear need to drink in order to get intoxicated? What do the animal rights activists have to say about this?

I don’t condone animals being shot for sport, but again, as bears are large animals, is the King really that bad a shot?

I guess we’ll never know will we?
